Subh prasango aa jivan na Tara Smit thi sobhi rahya,
Lakhu kai sundar to Tara naam thi vadhu kai lakhay kya

Pratham ae mulakat tari ane mari je hati,
Sar banse Jivan no e kyan khabar hati

Nathi kai vishesh tujthi mari koi chahna

When got kind of hurt and in angry mood, one would feel like

સત્ય હકિકત દુનિયા ની તમે જાણી લેજો આજ 

દુઃખી હૃદય નો કદી ના કોઈ સંભાળે આવાજ 

હસતા ચેહરા જોવા અહીં છે ગમે બધાને 

રડતા ને પૂછે ક્યાં કોઈ કે રડે છે શાને 

જીવન ના સંઘર્ષ સાચા અહીં કોણ કદરદાન 

જોવો તાળીયો બની છે કેવી કતપુતલી ની શાન 

કિંમત જ્યાં અંકાઈ રહી છે હર એક સ્વપ્ન ની 

સંબંધ ની શી વાત કરું એ થઇ વાત પુરાની

but as soon the anger is gone... the love comes again all over

કાલ સવારે હું અને તું હતા કેવા રમતા 

કોણ જાણે એવું થયું છે શું કે હવે જરા નથી ગમતા 

જતા વેળા ની છેલ્લી ઘડીએ તને રોકી ના શક્યો 

પછી જીવનભર મારી જાત ને મેં મુર્ખ છે લખ્યો 

પ્રેમ તણા સાગર માં જયારે હું હતો વિહરતો 

મોટી થઇ ગઈ ભૂલ કે પ્રેમ માં મૂકી મેં શરતો 

જો સંભાળતી હો તો મારે તને વાત કેહવી છે 

અંતર નો વિશ્વાસ છે મારો કે તું હજુ મને ચાહે છે 

માં ભારત ના જુવાનીયા

ચાલતા માર્ગે જો સામે વૃદ્ધ મળે 

           ઓ એને માં બાપ કહી ને પોકારતો હો જી રે 

            અને સેવા ઘણી ભારોભાર કરતો હો જી રે 

એ કેવી તારી ભક્તિ જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

ઓમ ભોલે ભોલે ભોલે ભોલે ભોલે ભોલે ભોલે 

          ભોલે ભોલે કરી ને જ્યાં સાદ કરે 

          ત્યાં તો જટાધારી શિવ પોતે સામે આવે 

એ કેવી તારી શક્તિ જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

પ્રભાતે ઉઠી એ હળ ને જોતે 

         પુરુષાર્થ એનો કેવો લીલો રંગ લાવે 

          પછી સાંજ તણી નહિ એને ભાન રે 

એ કેવી તારી હસ્તિ જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

સંકટ સમયે ના કદી પાછો હટે 

        એ પ્રભુ રામ નું લઇ નામ આગળ વધે 

        વારસો ઈ ભારત ના શુરવીરો નો જી રે 

એ કેવી તારી મસ્તી જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

સઘળી સંપતિ આપે એક જ ક્ષણ માં 

        લોહી બાળે ને શરીર એનું ઓગાળે 

        જયારે જોવે ક્યાય સેવા નું કાજ રે 

એ કેવી તારી દ્રષ્ટિ જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

પ્રેમ ત્યાગ તણી જેની બે નીશાનીયું 

        જે ઉભો અડીખમ રહે સરહદે રે 

        દુશ્મન કોઈ આંગણે આવી ચઢે જો 

મોત એને મન ઘણી સસ્તી જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

એ કેવી તારી ભક્તિ શક્તિ હસ્તી મસ્તી ને દ્રષ્ટિ જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે

Its always been said that the time is for the youth.. The youth has now to take the responsibility.

I was thinking that how the youth of the country should be like,

ચાલતા માર્ગે જો સામે વૃદ્ધ મળે 

           ઓ એને માં બાપ કહી ને પોકારતો હો જી રે 

            અને સેવા ઘણી ભારોભાર કરતો હો જી રે 

એ કેવી તારી ભક્તિ જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

One who worship God all over a day but don't fulfill his duty towards his parents is not a "Bhakt" in any manner... The true "Bhakti" of a young can be seen by only one thing.. when he consider every other old age person as his own mother and father and tries everything to serve them to please them.. that is the only way to worship the God..

ઓમ ભોલે ભોલે ભોલે ભોલે ભોલે ભોલે ભોલે 

          ભોલે ભોલે કરી ને જ્યાં સાદ કરે 

          ત્યાં તો જટાધારી શિવ પોતે સામે આવે 

એ કેવી તારી શક્તિ જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

The power of a young man can not be measure if he goes out and fight with his ten country people...If he can pull some hundred kilogram weight.. If he is so dedicated and so lost in the love and respect of the God and The principle to live the life which are set by God.. that man.. only that man.. can call the God  anytime and anywhere to come down to help in solving the difficulties of life.. That is the Real Power of a Young.

પ્રભાતે ઉઠી એ હળ ને જોતે 

         પુરુષાર્થ એનો કેવો લીલો રંગ લાવે 

          પછી સાંજ તણી નહિ એને ભાન રે 

એ કેવી તારી હસ્તિ જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

The greatness and the richness of young can no be determined by which car,bike he drives or which brand cloth,watch he wears.... 

The one who lives in village and every early morning he wake up and goes to the farm... and work so hardly to grow the food for his country people.. That is the Royalty... That is the Greatness of the young.

સંકટ સમયે ના કદી પાછો હટે 

        એ પ્રભુ રામ નું લઇ નામ આગળ વધે 

        વારસો ઈ ભારત ના શુરવીરો નો જી રે 

એ કેવી તારી મસ્તી જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

To go around with friends and to party without any reason all night and saying.. "Yo, we live life like king size".. That's not the "Joy" of living the Life..

But one who back himself in any difficult situation... and never fall back... Having strong believe in the Lord the one who keeps fighting.. That's the true inheritor of the Great Indian fighters and then each moment of his life becomes the "Celebration"

 સઘળી સંપતિ આપે એક જ ક્ષણ માં 

        લોહી બાળે ને શરીર એનું ઓગાળે 

        જયારે જોવે ક્યાય સેવા નું કાજ રે 

એ કેવી તારી દ્રષ્ટિ જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

One who opportunity to earn.. and make money and wealth for self is not the true visionary or ideal role model. 

But the one who is ready to give away everything he owns... and not only that.. but who is ready to serve.. by working hard himself... that's the greatest visionary and young role model.

પ્રેમ ત્યાગ તણી જેની બે નીશાનીયું 

        જે ઉભો અડીખમ રહે સરહદે રે 

        દુશ્મન કોઈ આંગણે આવી ચઢે જો 

મોત એને મન ઘણી સસ્તી જુવાનીયા જુવાનીયા ઓ જી રે 

Many time I see news around of suicide of young people around in the name of love and family stress.. but I will consider it as a total waste..

The true spirit of nationality can be seen only in the eyes of soldiers.. Who gives us the strongest example of Love and Sacrifices.. One who stands his ground in any difficulties and If the time arrives to fight in war.. He never values for his own life but only the respect and pride of his nation.

એ જેને જગત આખુયે જાણે , એક એવું નામે છે "જલારામ"

પણ બહુ ઓછા મને સાંભરે, કે જેને હૈય્યે આવી વસ્યા "રામ"

દેને કો ટુકડા ભલા,લેને કો હરી નામ

આ યુક્તિ જ્યાં સાચી ઠરે, એ પછી પછી મારે મન એજ "વીરપુર ધામ"

ગામે વીરપુર માં, હો વીરપુર ગામ માં 

કારતક સુદ સાતમે જ્યાં પધાર્યા જે,

             જેનો આખો જન્મારો હતો સેવા કાજે 

ભક્તો, સંતો, દુખી જણને હૈય્યે ધરી,

              પ્રેમ થી જમાડે જે આગ્રહ કરી 

               રોગીઓ ની પીડા ને જેણે દુર કરી 

ધન્ય ધન્ય છે એની માત રાજબાઈ  એવા જય જય જય જય શ્રી જલારામ જલારામ ... જય જય જય જય શ્રી જલારામ જલારામ ... 

દેવી વીરબાઇ થાકી જેઓ આગળ વધ્યા 

               માર્ગે સત ને ધર્મ કેરા ચલતા રહ્યા

એ જ્યાં ડંડા અને જોળી એની શાખ પૂરે 

              સર્વ ભક્તો ની ઈચ્છાઓ પુરી કરે

               શક્તિ દેજો મનેય માર્ગે તમ ચાલવાની

અંતિમ દુહા  :

ક્યાંય  જેનો  જોટો નથી  એવા ભક્ત શ્રી બાપા જલારામ 

જે એમણે કીધું અને કર્યું , તમેય કરો ને તમારે ગામ ..

ભૂખ્યા ને ભોજન આપી .. એ પછી .. પછી ..સુખે ભજો ને રામ

I consider "Bhakti Shri Jalaram Bapa" as one my "Guru".. but I confess that I have always been a poor student..Still I have always tried to know as much I can about him, still I know much less.. but with God's grace I have been able to understand much more from the less information I have about "Bapa"

The above written "Prerna Prarthna Geet" was just a little try to show you what I feel and what I have understood.

ગામે વીરપુર માં, હો વીરપુર ગામ માં 

કારતક સુદ સાતમે જ્યાં પધાર્યા જે,

"Jalaram Bapa" was born in Virpur,Gujarat on "Kartak Sud Satam".. The Great Man had dedicated all his life to serve the man kind..
He was used to call all the passing by people to come to his place, he give them food and do serve them well with pure feeling of his heart. The "Bapa" was so connected with Lord Ram that whenever he pray for anyone... even the person suffering from serious illness get recovered soon.

As in any great human being the role of his mother in his life was so much impressive.. So before bowing my head infront of "Bapa" I will always respect and remember his mother "Rajbai".. and not only his mother.. My mother too. because without a mother there is nothing.. nothing in the world.

દેવી વીરબાઇ થાકી જેઓ આગળ વધ્યા 

               માર્ગે સત ને ધર્મ કેરા ચલતા રહ્યા 

ધન્ય ધન્ય છે દેવી વીરબાઈ  એવા જય જય જય જય શ્રી જલારામ જલારામ ... જય જય જય જય શ્રી જલારામ જલારામ ... 

"Jalaram Bapa" got married with "Sati Virbai" , The source of support and motivation for "Bapa" to continue to work of serving people. She always stood by him and supported him in all his noble work.

There is a woman behind every great person, and the greatness of "Virbai" was also so much like "Bhakt Shri Jalaram Bapa"

ગુરુવાણી સુણી ને ભોજા ભગત ની 

              કસોટી પાર કરી હતી જેણે દેવો ની 

ધન્ય ધન્ય છે ગુરુ ભોજલરામ  એવા જય જય જય જય શ્રી જલારામ જલારામ ... જય જય જય જય શ્રી જલારામ જલારામ ... 

The "Bapa" met a "Guru" of his life "Bhojalram ji", He gave him "Guru mantra" and "Jap Mala" ..  With his great blessings and inspiration "Bapa" started "Sadavrat" where every need ful can come and gets food everyday.

Once when Angels cam in a form of "Sant" and asked him to donate his wife "Virbai" so she can serve them... with the permission of "Sati" he donated his wife.. and when "Virbai" walked away.. as soon as they passed the vilage the saint got disappeared and there was a voice from the sky.. "We are pleased to see the greatness of you both.."

Everybody needs a "Guru" in their life.. by walking on the way he showed having trust and believe on his words you can pass any test of the life.

એ જ્યાં ડંડા અને જોળી એની શાખ પૂરે 

              સર્વ ભક્તો ની ઈચ્છાઓ પુરી કરે 

ભક્તિ હતી તમારી જેવી રામ પ્રભુ ની 

               શક્તિ દેજો મનેય માર્ગે તમ ચાલવાની 

ધન્ય ધન્ય છે રામ ભક્ત  એવા જય જય જય જય શ્રી જલારામ જલારામ ... જય જય જય જય શ્રી જલારામ જલારામ ... 


In the temple of Virpur, The "Dela" there are still kept the "Danda" and "Joli" which were given by the Angel Saint to Virbai ma and Jalaram bapa.. People have strong believe in their heart and that's a truth..that anyone comes their with a open heart.. he will get his all desires fulfilled.

The "Jalaram bapa" was the greatest "Bhakt" of Lord Ram.. and all of his life he prayed Ram and work for the principles set by the Lord Ram. I wish that the "Jalaram Bapa" gives all of us the power to do such good works he has done all his life.. "Bhakti" and "Seva"

વાત સોરઠ ભોમ ની : vaat sorath bhom ni

જયારે જયારે.. જરૂર જણાઈ રાજ ને ત્યાં ,

ત્યારે ત્યારે કંઈ કેટલા..અહી.. રણે ચડ્યા

                          હું તો વાત કરું છું સોરઠ ભોમ ની રે લોલ 

ઊંચો આભ ને પડકારા દેતો ગરવો ગિરનાર 

નાથ શામળીયા એ જ્યાં કર્યો વસવાટ 

કે સોમનાથે બિરાજે છે ભોળો ભગવાન 

                          હું તો વાત કરું છું સોરઠ ભોમ ની રે લોલ 

જેના સપૂતો કંઈ એવા શુરવીર થયા 

લડ્યા મર્યા પણ આજેય જીવી ગયા 

કે જેની ખાંભીઓ છે ગામો ગામ રે 

                        હું તો વાત કરું છું સોરઠ ભોમ ની રે લોલ 

કવિ બારોટ ચારણો  એ જેને જીવન ધર્યું 

જે દામો કુંડ નાહ્યું  એનું જીવન તર્યું 

કે જે ગોમતી માં નાહ્યું એનું જીવન તર્યું 

                       હું તો વાત કરું છું સોરઠ ભોમ ની રે લોલ 

જો ને કેવા મોટા ભક્તો ને દાતા અહિયાં 

નામ  જપવા થી જેનું સૌ દોષો ઠર્યા    

કે જાવ જોય આવો, આવકાર કેવો મીઠો મળે 

                            પછી તમતારે... તમેય વાતું કરજો ..સોરઠ ભોમ ની રે લોલ

The above poem was written by me on a day when I was in the thinking of my native place "Saurashtra" ...

Frankly speaking.. I have not read about my place.. I have no any historical knowledge about my native.

But still don't know how I got to create above poem... I have dedicated the above one to the "Saurashtra" and it's people.

Now I will try and elaborate as much I can about the each line of the poem.

જયારે જયારે જરૂર જણાઈ રાજ ને ત્યાં ,

ત્યારે ત્યારે કંઈ કેટલા,,અહી રણે ચડ્યા

Whenever the state has required, in all those difficult times there were many who fought till the last breath for this pure and great land... 

It may include many kings and prince.. known and unknown today and know It's our time..time to take the liabilities on our shoulders to keep the Greatness and Grace of the land as high as It was and It is.  

ઊંચો આભ ને પડકારા દેતો ગરવો ગિરનાર 

નાથ શામળીયા એ જ્યાં કર્યો વસવાટ 

કે સોમનાથે બિરાજે છે ભોળો ભગવાન 

                          હું તો વાત કરું છું સોરઠ ભોમ ની રે લોલ 

The nature and the almighty God has himself blessed this land in so many ways. Greates "Siddhkhsetra".. Girnar is there ... who is standing tall.. like he is a son of Saurashtra and taking proud of being one of them. The Lord Krishna.. he also came down all the way from "Mathura" to "Dwarika".. He has choosed this powerful land to be his new city... I am just thinking and taking proud that how much lucky I am to born here. The Lord of The Lord "Mahadev" Shiv also have one of his twelve "Jyotirling" here as Somnath Temple where every human can go and get the peace of life.

જેના સપૂતો કંઈ એવા શુરવીર થયા 

લડ્યા મર્યા પણ આજેય જીવી ગયા 

કે જેની ખાંભીઓ છે ગામો ગામ રે 

                        હું તો વાત કરું છું સોરઠ ભોમ ની રે લોલ 

As I said, I have not done much research work that I can write thesis on its, but The proof of Saurashtra's People being brave and kind is the "Khambhi" in every village of the land. They have fought for the proud of this holy place.. and many of them sacrificed their life.. If you want to know about them.. you will have to visit each of the village of the "Saurashtra".. cause the Mother land Saurashtra have so much power in it that she has given birth to lots and lots of brave and bold sons.

કવિ બારોટ ચરણો એ જેને જીવન ધર્યું 

જે દામો કુંડ નાહ્યું  એનું જીવન તર્યું 

કે જે ગોમતી માં નાહ્યું એનું જીવન તર્યું 

                       હું તો વાત કરું છું સોરઠ ભોમ ની રે લોલ 

I am nothing, I have done nothing till yet .. and I know even if I try whole my life to repay the debt of this mother.. I won't be able to repay a single percent of it.. but there have been many .. many.. many... writiers..poets..singers who has given their life to keep alive the culture, the history and the stories of Saurashtra... In the land of there are some specific cast people..who are extremely blessed by the Goddess "Ma Saraswati" and they have used their talent.. they have shown their love..respect for their mother land...I salute them all.. and will be respectful to them ever.

"Damodar Kund" the place in Girnar, Junagadh is meant to be one of the place where people can just go once and get washed away all of their sins and.. look at the grace of almighty.. he has blessed the "Land of Saurashtra" by not only but two of such places and the second one is "Gomati Maiyya". 

જો ને કેવા મોટા ભક્તો ને દાતા અહિયાં 

જેનું નામ  જપવા થી સૌ દોષો ઠર્યા    

કે જાવ જોય આવો, મીઠો કેવો આવકાર મળે 

                        હું તો વાત કરું છું સોરઠ ભોમ ની રે લોલ 

The culture of Great Saurashtra is always been like.. as a most respectful person in the place the "Bhakt".. one who is connected with God.. comes at first place.. the "Data" who donates comes at second the the "Shurvir"  the brave fighter..comes at the third place...and here in Saurashtra you will found so many Bhakt..starting from the Great "Narsinh Mehta" , Satadhar's "Sant", Parab Vavdi na "Devidas" bapu.. Virpur's "Jalaram bapa", Bagdana's "Bapa Bajrangdas"..there are lots and lots of holy names to be taken..by taking their name only all the goodness comes in your heart...

It would be somewhat like moving ahead a step.. but I have believe in my brothers and sisters of Saurashtra that they wont let me down after saying this "You can go any time.. anywhere in saurashtra..and you will see the hospitality the nature and the love of a true Saurashtra"
